The Parker Pen Company was established by George S. Parker in 1888 after he decided that the pens available at the time were not up to scratch. His philosophy right from the start was based on the premise that if you make a better pen, people will buy it. This has been the main aim of Parker ever since and the statement is as valid today as it was 125 years ago.
George Parker died in 1937 but his legacy lived on in new products like the Parker 51, dubbed as the World's Most Wanted Pen, and one of the highest selling fountain pens ever made, and the ever popular Duofold range continued to keep the company at the forefront of the marketplace.
Parker are now part of the BIC Group, and they continue to produce high quality writing instruments from their factory in France where this pen was produced.
The Parker Sonnet was released in the early 1990's, and this particular lacquered finish was part of a special edition run of lacquered pens. It is a stunning finish, best described as indigo blue with marbled pearl. The pen is in near perfect condition, and comes complete with deluxe Parker ink converter, serviced and ready to write with a delightful soft 18k medium nib.

There are no major imperfections to note, no chips splits or engravings. The pen has previously been inked but is in near perfect condition, it only shows very minor surface wear in the form of micro-scratches to the cap and body
