Vintage Conway Stewart No.27 Fountain Pen
Marbled Burgundy (Plum) with Gold Trim
Made in England circa 1940’s
14k Gold CS Nib - Fine
Lever Filled Fountain Pen: restored and ready to write
Stunning pen, fully restored by Grand Vision Pens - sporting a delightful fine nib. The colouring of these pens is sometimes described as burgundy marble, but is more akin to a deep plum purple.
The fountain pen is in excellent condition.
The pen has been fully dismantled, ultrasonically cleaned and polished, fitted with a new inc sac and nib tuned.
There are no major imperfections to note, no cracks or engravings
There is some pitting to the lever bar, and the gold trim shows minor brassing in places, but otherwise a superb example, which has polished up extremely well.
The colouring is very well preserved too.
The 14k Gold Nib has been tuned and writes beautifully, a medium firm fine nib which lays down plenty of ink, but not too much.
