The Parker 45 was initially aimed at the economy market of the 1960s, designed by Don Doman -mwho also designed the jotter, Parker 75 and many more all time classics - the pen became a stalwart of the Parker lineup.
Over 20 years of production, the Parker 45 lineup expanded and grew to include the Parker 45 Flighter, Insignia, Custom, GT and other models as popular demand grew for what became known as a reliable and affordable everyday writing pen
The Flighter, launched in 1964 was an immediate bestseller, an today holds its own as a fantastic everyday writer, its brushed steel finish holding up very well to the trials of a workhorse pen, it represents one of the most economical ways of writing with a 14 karat gold nib. The pen is in excellent condition, fully serviced and ready to write
There are no imperfections to note, no chips cracks or engravings.
The pen shows light usage, some marks evident on the rear of the barrel, and the clip is not quite as well tensioned as when new being 1mm from the cap, but otherwise a very nice, clean example.
