Visconti Titanic Limited Edition Fountain Pen

Stunning Marbled Blue Celluloid with Gold Cap Clip

Made in Firenze, Italy

18k Gold Two Tone Visconti Nib - Medium

Piston Filled Fountain Pen: Double Ink Reservoir

The pen

Visconti, inspired by this legendary ship RMS Titanic, created a special and unique writing instrument of exceptional beauty – The Visconti Titanic. The gold clip itself tells the tragic story, bearing the shape of the Titanic's bow as it sails towards its doomed fate: an iceberg represented by a crystal sphere at the foot of the gold clip. The material is a blend of acrylic and celluloid in a deep icy blue bronze, creating both an emotional as well as aesthetic effect, it bears the engraving R.M.S Titanic 1912.The pen has an innovative filler mechanism and double reservoir (see photo gallery blueprints) giving the pen a marvellous 4.2ml ink capacity. This is a truly large fountain pen, which feels lovely in the hand. (See photo gallery for a size comparison with a Parker 51!) There were 1912 pens made of this stunning fountain pen.

Condition:

The fountain pen is in near mint condition.

Imperfections

There are no major imperfections to note, the only tiny imperfections are two spots of brassing on the gold cap band. These are less than 1mm and are really very minor. The pen has never been used and is in near mint condition
