The Full Story
Mabie Todd & Co. Ltd was originally established as Mabie Todd and Bard of New York, USA in 1873 and began production in the UK in 1905 under licence.
The UK branch bought out the US outfit in the early 1920’s and Mabie Todd became a wholly owned British company, thriving thanks to British preferences for conservative design and reliability and successful advertising campaigns.
The SWAN Self Filler came in a variety of finishes, few are rarer than this Italian marbled finish with rich red, browns and greens it is a beautiful and eye catching instrument. The nib is a SWAN No.1, which offers the full spectrum of line variation from a fine to a double broad. The pen has been serviced and is ready to write.
The Nitty Gritty
There are no major imperfections to note, no splits cracks or chips.
There is a touch of brassing to the clip and the pen shows minor surface wear. Otherwise a superb example.

If you do not like the pen and wish to return it, this can be arranged but at the discretion of Grand Vision Pens and the return postage at your expense. Once the pen has been returned a refund will be issued subject to the satisfactory condition of the pen.
