The Story
Originally introduced in 1929, the Conklin Symetrik Series fountain pen is another neo vintage classic.
Each Symetrik Series fountain pen comes with the patented Sprint-Loaded Rocker Clip. This perfectly balanced clip can be used in either thin shirt pockets or thicker jacket or coat pockets.
The fountain pen comes with a stainless steel fine nib engraved with the famous Conklin logo in a range of georgeous finishes, this particular being the red toupe, marble with Gold Trim. It is a full sized modern pen at 14cm im length.
The pen has a gorgeous colour scheme a true tribute to early American celluloid pens. The pen is in mint condition, complete with box, sleeve, papers and Conklin card. It has never been inked.
The Nitty Gritty
There are no major imperfections to note, no chips cracks or engravings, nor signs of minor surface wear.
The pen is as new.
Writing Style & Nib Appraisal
The nib is a fine steel nib, Conklin nibs have a steady reputation as being smooth, responsive and to provide good ink flow via the 'Conklin crescent' breather hole.
Recommendations
Why not pair with a bottle of J Herbin ink? A bright shimmer ink would suit this pen very well!
