Montegrappa pens have been manufactured since 1912. Their premises stands in the same historic building on the bank of the River Brenta, in one of the most picturesque areas of the historic town of Bassano del Grappa in the prosperous north-eastern part of Italy. This Italian heritage is an important value for a Brand that is the first Italian pen manufacturer: it is his tradition, his legacy. Since 1912 Montegrappa pens embody the Italian flair.
This lovely Reminiscence model is an earlier 1980's slender version, with etched greek key motif in 925 sterling silver with ebonite feed and solid 14k gold nib. It is in immaculate condition and writes beautifully with a soft fine nib.
There are no major imperfections to note, no chips splits or engravings.
There are some minor hints of handling, micro-scratches in places. but really these are very very minor imperfections indeed.
The pen is close to mint.
Why not pair with a bottle of Herbin ink? Bleu Ocean or Kyanite Du Nepal ink would suit this pen very well
