Pelikan have a production history dating back to the 1830's and are one of the most highly regarded makers of modern and vintage fountain pens.
The Pelikan M800 fountain pen is the second largest pen in Pelikan’s Souveran range and although not the biggest, it is still a large pen. The M800 is a large and weighty, luxury fountain pen pen which features an 18 carat gold nib with rhodium decoration giving a two-tone finish.
The M800 has a partial brass internal mechanism, giving it a substantial weight. The metal trim of the pen is 24 carat gold plated.
The pen is made from high quality resin, which has a deep sheen and is strong and lightweight. There is a small section around 1cm (1/2 inch) on the barrel of the pen which is transparent and tinted dark green which allows you to see how much ink is remaining in the pen. When filled, this 'ink view window' becomes obscured by the ink inside and therefore invisible (shown above empty of ink)
This example is in near mint condition, with juicy smooth 18k broad nib, not to be missed!
There are no major imperfections to note, no chips splits or engravings
The pen has been inked and shows signs of handling otherwise like new
Why not pair with a bottle of KWZ ink for a fluid writing experience...
