The word 'rare' is often banded around rather loosely - in this case this really is a rare pen! The Parker 'Senator' was a prototype design created by Parker in the early stages of creating the Parker Sonnet.
The name senator was dropped due to patenting issues, and as such only a handful of Senator pens were created and issued to Parker employees.
In essence the pen is identical to the Parker Sonnet I Vision Fonce, barring the inscription and date code of the cap band (pictured) and some minor variations of nib engraving.
This is a highly collectable RARE pen!
The fountain pen is in excellent condition
The pen has been taken apart, cleaned and fitted with a new deluxe Parker Ink Converter
There are no major imperfections to note, only the lightest signs of use
The cap band and gold trim has microscratches throughout, otherwise a very clean example, in very good condition.
The 18k Gold Nib is a sweet smooth medium
