Button Filled Fountain Pen: restored and ready to write
Edacoto were a leading French manufacturer of fountain pens, originating in the early 1900's as 'Edac' and producing quality fountain pens as late as the 1950's
Here we have a lovely pocket sized fountain pen, in 18ct gold plate, with a delightful springy nib with a hint of flex.
The pen's cap posts to give a slender full sized pen.
This is a delightful mini fountain pen ideal to be taken out in a handbag or top pocket so you never need to be without a beloved fountain pen!
The fountain pen is in excellent condition.
The pen has been taken apart, cleaned, polished and fitted with a bespoke pressure bar and a new ink sac.
It comes ready to write.
There are no major imperfections to note, no chips cracks or engravings
It shows the usual signs of wear and use for a pen of its age, some minor brassing at the read of the barrel and it looks as if the cap possible used to have a ring top attached, but otherwise a superb shiny gold pen in excellent order.
The 18k Gold Nib has been tuned and writes beautifully, it is a springy responsive nib, reminiscent of Montegrappa's lovely nibs.
Please take a look at the writing sample in the photo gallery for a closeup
The nib writes a fine line but pressure can be applied for a nice degree of line variation - a delightful, delightful writer
