The Parker 61 was first introduced in 1956 in the USA. After an extensive design period Parker announced the new pen with its revolutionary capillary filling system. It utilised a new material, Teflon, to protect the hood and allow excess ink to drain back into the ink bottle without the need for wiping. The same model was also produced in the UK but not until the early 60's. The pen was produced in a wide variety of colurs and finishes on both sides of the Atlantica and Parker expanded the range to include aerometric filled models also.
This pen is is the latter, aerometric filled pen, in excellent condition, in gold Cirrus pattern - the rarest of the cloud series - a beautiful brushed gold finish with pearl cap jewel and signature Parker quiver clip, this lovely pen has been serviced and is ready to write out of the box
There are no imperfections to note, no chips cracks or engravings.
The cap has a mark near the clip, evident in photo 2, otherwise only minor signs of wear in the form of microscratches. Otherwise an excellent clean example.
