The Story
The Challenger was a school pen that was first introduced in 1934, during the Vacumatic era. It was a button filler and was made out of the same plastic as the early marbled Vacumatics and had nickel or gold trim. This model being the latter, gold trim, with a Newhaven nib, exchanged at some point in the pens life

The pen is in very good condition, serviced and ready to write with a 14k medium nib which writes with a degree of character, slightly springy and with a touch of line variation on the horizontal stroke, a lovely pen

Imperfections
There are no imperfections to note, no chips cracks or engravings.

As mentioned the nib is not original to the pen and there are minor signs of use in the form of micro-scratches and wear to the trim
