Name: Vintage Parker Televisor Fountain Pen
Maker: Parker, Canada - c1935
Colour: Burgundy Striated Pearl / Gold Trim
Nib: 14k Gold Parker Nib - Fine Flex Nib
Filling System: Button Filler
Condition: Serviced, Very Good
The Televisor was the first Parker model solely produced in Canada. It is a very attractive mid-priced button filler model that was introduced in 1935 and carried on production into the early 40's. It had many features in common with the Parker Challenger and was launched as a sort of "gift" school pen, aimed at the mid price European markets, primarily the UK.
This model is the slender smaller size. It comes in very good condition, serviced and ready to write with a 14k gold fine nib which writes with a degree of character, springy and a good degree of line variation.
There are no imperfections to note, no chips cracks or engravings.
The cap lip has had a repair at some stage in its life, and there is a colour differentiation where the celluloid has changed from a burgundy to a amber gold colour in parts. See photos 7 and 8
Otherwise the pen is strikingly well polished and in excellent working order
