14k Gold SWAN '3' Nib – Double Broad Italic
Leverless (twise to fill) Fountain Pen: restored and ready to write
A stunning early Swan leverless fountain pen with a unique and beautiful double broad Italic nib, the 'keyhole' breather hole ensures a glorious flexible writing experience, smooth and wet, just right.
The pen has been fully restored by Grand Vision Pens, and is in near mint condition. The finish is a superb striated caramel colour, the imprints are crisp and legible and the pen has all the markings of a vintage classic.
The fountain pen is in near mint condition
The pen has been taken apart, cleaned, polished and fitted with a new inc sac. The nib has been tuned and special care has been taken to ensure the pen writes beautifully.
There are no major imperfections to note, no chips cracks or engravings
The pen only shows only the lightest signs of surface wear, tiny micro scratches where the cap secures and posts, otherwise a superb near mint example.
Please take a look at the writing sample in the photo gallery for a closeup. The nib is a double broad italic which flexes to give a brushstroke of a downstroke and is smooth (not cursive) on the horizontal. It lays down plenty of ink - not too much, but definitely a wet writer. A truly unique nib - a superior writing experience!
