14k Gold SWAN - Italic Flex Nib
Lever Filled Fountain Pen: serviced and ready to write
A vintage classic, the SWAN SF1 in ebonite wood grain effect, complete with box and instructions. Its lovely to see well preserved papers which accompany the pen and bring the production era alive.
The nib is an Italic flex nib which lays down plentry of ink and offers generous flex from a medium to a double broad on the downstroke.
The fountain pen is in very good condition.
The pen has been taken apart, cleaned, polished and fitted with a new ink sac
There are no major imperfections to note, no chips dents or engravings
There is one small split to the cap, just above the clip. It does not show signs of progressing, but is nonetheless present.
The pen does show its vintage, the gold cap bands are somewhat tarnished and the imprint is not as crisp as perhaps it once was.
Otherwise a fully functioning and lovely example
The 14k Gold Nib is a lovely flexible Italic, which lays down plenty of ink and gives good line variation from a medium to a double broad
