14k Gold 'Phillips' Nib – Semi Flex
Lever Filled Fountain Pen: restored and ready to write
A lovely SWAN self filler fountain pen which sports a 14 carat gold Phillips nib. Phillips nibs are by no means second rate nibs, they are often found on Mabie Todd pens, and we believe they were authorised sellers of replacements
This particular nib is a flexy gem - offering line variation from a fine to a double broad.
The fountain pen is in near mint condition.
The pen has been taken apart, cleaned, polished and fitted with a new ink sac
There are no major imperfections to note, no chips cracks or engravings
The pen only shows faint marks and a touch of brassing, a very clean shiny example.
Please take a look at the writing sample in the photo gallery for a closeup.
The nib is a delightful semi flex, which flexes from a fine to a double broad. A delight to write with
The nib lays down plenty of ink, a smooth wet writer.
