A vintage Waterman No.52 Fountain Pen in hardened rubber, with double gold cap bands which we have dated as early 1920's, made in USA. This particular model of Waterman has rightly earned its place as one of the greatest fountain pens ever produced, the classic design and extraordinary 'Ideal' nibs are some of the highest performing flex nibs which can be found today, 100 years on this pen is still writing beautifully.
The pen comes fully restored and ready to write, with a delightful Waterman Ideal No.2 nib which flexes from a fine to a broad. The nib writes with line variation, not enough to be described as Italic, but very characterful and charming. Do checkout the writing sample in the photo gallery!
There are no major imperfections to note, no chips cracks or engravings.
There is slight discolouration to the hardened rubber as is customary with these pens, particularly to the top of the cap. But overall this example is in near perfect condition.
